The Village
Office will be closed on May 25th for Memorial Day
we will be back open on May 26th.
Leaf
Burning: Spring is
finally here and clean-up is beginning. Leaf Burning is
permitted in the Village during the months of April and May
between 6pm and 11pm only. There shall be no burning on
the streets or sidewalks.
Smoke Testing:
Will be May 4th and
5th. This is not harmful to breathe.
Tornado Siren Testing:
Tornado Siren
Testing will be on the first Saturday of the month at 1:00p.m.,
April through September.

VETERAN’S PARK
MEMORIAL: Columbiaville
Village Office is still taking orders for bricks to be placed in
Veteran’s Park. It’s a permanent way of recognizing those who
fought for our freedom. Cost is $30 a brick please stop by the
office to place your order.
Blight Ordinance
Enforcement and Noxious Weed Ordinance:
The Village
of Columbiaville is required by local ordinance to send notices
to any resident that has blight or tall grass located on their
property. A notice shall be placed in the local newspaper and
anyone in violation will be sent a notice with a deadline date
for mowing or clean up.
The Columbiaville Days Committee
is looking for volunteers and would like any ideas for events
for the festival. Contact Rod Swantek at 810-614-0130.
The
Planning Commission
has opening for one member. They meet every other month at 6:00
p.m. For more information call Denise at 810-793-4411.
Bachelor Auction featuring Live
Music by Westfall
Ten of Columbiaville’s “most eligible men” will
be put up for bid at the first ever Columbiaville Days Bachelor
Auction on Saturday, May 2nd beginning at 8 PM at the Back Door
Lounge, 4515 N Lake Rd. “The guys are really excited. They are
very diverse and not only have unique looks, they come from very
different backgrounds.” Ladies will have the option to mingle
with the bachelors from 8pm until 9pm
prior to the auction and bids open at $10.
All
proceeds from the event will be used to help fund the
Columbiaville Days Festival which will be held on July 17th,
18th & 19th.
Local band “Westfall” will perform following the
auction. Westfall is an active, local band
that plays live shows on a weekly basis across
Michigan and has opened for national recording artists' Hinder,
Seether, Theory of a Dead Man, Fuel, 10 Years, Crossfade, Saving
Abel, The Exies, Smile Empty Soul, Days of the New(3 times),
Hurt, Cinder Road and Red.
Throughout the night, patrons will have the option to purchase
50/ 50 tickets.
